A date which will live in infamy

Do you remember what happened on this day in 1941? Not many people do, which is why we want to remind you and others to never forget what happened at Pearl Harbor. To observe this day, many government buildings and residences fly the American flag at half-mast to show respect.

This was a dreadful day in American history that Franklin D. Roosevelt said was “a date which will live in infamy.” This surprise attack by the Japanese Imperial Army caused more than 2,000 people to be killed, 1,000 were injured and many aircraft and battleships were lost.

We ask you to never forget this day and to educate your loved ones and friends who are unfamiliar with what happened. Freedom is not FREE!
