OurSeniors.org is one of the newest additions to the OurSeniors.net family. The organization arose after the realization of a dire need for quality social interaction within the senior community. Many seniors live in assisted living facilities or nursing homes and are terribly lonely. Some of them are without friends or family to stop by and visit. According to a study published by the Association for Psychological Science, loneliness and social isolation increase the risk factors of early mortality. These people once cherished and protected us, so OurSeniors.org has made it their mission to honor and remember the sacrifices of these elders by giving back and being present. OurSeniors.net is dedicated to helping seniors living in nursing homes or assisted living facilities by devoting care to these lonely seniors. The organization is guided by a team of OurSeniors.net staff and fantastic volunteers. They offer delight and joy to all seniors who feel alone and in need. OurSeniors.org is changing the lives of forgotten seniors and through example is reminding the community that we must all honor our mothers and our fathers.
